Right now, and in no particular order, my favourites from the 80's are:

-Nova Heart, by The Spoons
-I Ran, by A Flock of Seagulls
-The Sun Always Shines on TV, by A-Ha
-Stepping Out, by Joe Jackson
-Major Tom, by Peter Schilling
-Don't You Forget About Me, by Simple Minds
-The Promise, by When In Rome
-Living on Video, by Trans-X
-Mad World, by Tears for Fears
-Once in a Lifetime, by The Talking Heads.

What are yours?

OK, from my mp3 player, in no order:

(some might be early 1990-91)

-Halo by Severed Heads
-It's a long way to the top by AC/DC
-Here comes your man by the Pixies
-Dance this mess around by the B52's
-This must be the place by Talking Heads
-Politics of Dancing by the Re-Flex
-Mongoloid by Devo
-Big Man Restless by Kissing the Pink
-Dead Souls by Joy Division
-Our House by Madness

The older I get, the more I listen to the old stuff.  I look for groups from back in the
80's, and hunt their stuff down.  YouTube is great for deciding if I need to find it.  I
listen to a lot of indie or modern alt. rock, but always prefer the 'classics'.

Also, check out, great alt rock station in Pasadena, CA.  You can listen live
via the web, or they have a separate 'Roq of the 80's' web cast that is awesome!  Great place to hear
the stuff you haven't heard for years, and even stuff you never have!

I like the additional areas on the site.  Great idea!  Hope it becomes popular.

freedom.  Don't count on having both

In no perticular order....

I wanna new drug - Huey Lewis & the News
Our House - Madness
Major Tom - Peter Schilling
Heart & Soul - T'Pau
Sunglasses at night - Corey Hart
Method of Modern Love - Hall & Oates
Black Cars - Gino Vanelli
Mony Mony - Billy Idol
Don't You (forget about me) - forgot the band but was on "breakfast club" soundtrack,  Billy Idol did a cover of this as well.
Criminal Mind - Gowan

Theres many more I could fit on a best of 80's list but thats 10 I often listen to.  Others would include songs like "mexican radio" by wall of voodoo among others.
