Due to on-going and unresolved technical issues Robert is experiencing with the new WordPress blog and the related hosting platform, it has been decided that retro-link.com will exist at blogspot. Therefore, I will migrate my posts over to retro-link.blogspot.com, and will follow with a transfer of the domain name. Please update your bookmarks to retro-link.blogspot.com.

The future just got cooler
In the 1980′s, the car of the future was the DeLorean. Now the DeLorean motor company has decided the car of the future will be available in the future…2013, to be precise. This time, it’s going to be powered by an electric motor; presumably to be fueled by a Mr. Fusion.

DIY Handheld SX-64
Head on over to www.ErikSchubach.com to download and print out a page which you can transform into your very own miniature Commodore SX-64 papercraft model. Just add scissors and glue. Very nice.
A haul of C= goods

A few weeks ago, Judy Ranheim, widow of John Ranheim of the Jason Ranheim Company, contacted our user group. The Jason Ranheim Company was a company which made specialized boards for the Commodore and advertised in all the Commodore magazines of the 1980′s and 1990′s.
Got the new PETdisk for the Commodore PET
This came in the mail today, just 2 days after being shipped out of San Francisco. I’ll have to pull out one of my working PETs just to try out this new micro-SD drive. Oh, the website is http://www.bitfixer.com/bf/PETdisk , and it’s $25 US (not including shipping).
MCC-216 at the Amiwest Show 2011

At the Oct. 21-23 Amiwest Show in Sacramento, California, I intend to have a working exhibit of ArcadeRetroGaming.com’s Multiple Classic Computer 216 (MCC-216), VGA version. It will have the Amiga 500, Commodore 64, and Atari 2600 cores (possibly even the new Apple II core). Now all I have to do is grab some free table space from a friend or a vendor.

CommVEx v8, July 28-29, 2012
“Every time I think I’m out, they pull me back in.”
A few hours ago, I signed and faxed back the agreement between me and the Las Vegas Club Hotel for the Commodore Vegas Expo v8 2012. Yup, CommVEx is returning next year to the third floor Left Field Room at the hotel on 18 E. Fremont Street. How many more years can I keep this up?
